Finding what works for each resident.
Our Memory Lane program is a home-like long-term secure residential community dedicated solely to memory care, not a little annex of a big complex. It’s a safe and therapeutic environment that responds to all human needs: intellectual, physical, spiritual and social with an individualized approach. To us, that means peeling back the layers of a person’s life and identifying what will make each person feel safe, happy and fulfilled.
Memory Lane has 78 beds in two adjacent buildings, organized into intimate neighborhoods. In creating our community, we integrated the latest research in how environment affects those with memory issues.
Science behind every detail
Research shows that small-scale, homelike settings are the most beneficial to those with Alzheimer’s or dementia because it fosters a social community living environment. Memory Lane is a warm and cozy home, with the aroma of home-cooked meals wafting from the kitchen. In addition, locating the kitchen and living room areas in the center with resident rooms around the perimeter means residents are immediately engaged, less likely to get lost and more likely to socialize. This approach qualitatively improves our residents’ lives in terms of fewer injuries, fewer medications required, less sleep disturbance and less wandering. Discover more on our facility page.
In addition to environment, our balanced approach includes behavioral and medication therapies as the most effective treatment of dementia and Alzheimer’s symptoms. Our supportive, experienced clinical and care staff ensures the proper balance for each resident through engagement, therapy, activities, and constant medical oversight.
Our sense of balance extends to our resident composition as well. We strive to ensure a harmonious environment through a comprehensive intake process that ensures each new resident or roommate is a good fit.
